Major Online Ad Networks Comparison

Every company or person, who needs to promote their website, are searching for best ways to do it. There are lots of different ways to achieve results, and each industry should choose it's own way or combination of ways. In order to ease this process, I did some research of different advertisement technologies and analyzed advantages and disadvantages of each...

Adwords - Probably the most comprehensive ad network - Millions of potential publishers to show your ads - But is competitive for advertisers - On avg for most keywords is more expensive - Relevant ads.

Yahoo Search Marketing - Less publishers than AdSense - Fewer advertisers - Some great deals and keywords to be found - Not always as good clickthrough-signup/purchase rate as Adsense - Relevant Ads.

MSN AdCenter - Only currently shows ads on MSN sites (maybe higher quality traffic) - Less Advertisers than those above - Loads of great deals - Buggy system (that has cost some people money) - Unproven characteristics.

eBanners - Unique keyword placement - No Pay Per Click cost - One Year Exclusive rights for purchased keywords - Easiest and most straightforward method among all others - No competition with other publishers.

Adbrite - Less publishers/advertisers than the big names - Questions being asked whether it blocks pay-2-click sites in China (click fraud) - Relevant ads - Cheaper - Supposed less quality of traffic???

Bidvertiser - Not relevant ads - Cheaper keywords than AdWords - Manually and automatically checks for click fraud - Choose specific sites to advertise on - Less publishers/advertisers than those above.

Clicksor - Not relevant ads - Question mark over click fraud - Forces users to click through with captcha to detect automated bot click fraud (but doesn't help for manual click fraud) - Less advertisers/publishers than the big few.
